Alec Eastman

Research

Alec is a marine science graduate student studying ways of engineering enzymes from aquatic algae, using directed evolution and rational design, to make clean biofuels. He is also studying the genetics of cyanobacteria related to their ability to accelerate the evolution of ligand-binding regions of proteins.
