Research

Connor is a marine science graduate student studying the production of alkanes by cyanobacteria, as well as the subsequent degradation by heterotrophs. He is interested in quantifying this hydrocarbon cycle and the implications that this may have on the nature of marine bacteria and how this cycle may help the ocean deal with oil spills.
